Notes:

A polyphonic & poly-rhythmic work in one movement, structured & written in the idiomatic language of traditional African percussion music, with integral elements of classical & jazz music. It’s inherent form, structure, themes & melodic motifs structured on different traditional African percussion instruments, such as the Magbetu a zither harp from Zaire & the Mvet, a double sided harp with calabash amplification of the Beti's of Cameroon.

Wunja Na Bika.

Music from the plateau land, hills and valleys of the grassfields of Cameroon. We have woven together many

rhythmic motifs and melodic elements typical of traditional African percussion music.

Traditional African music is a collective and participatory art-form, a highly creative process which involves all the

elements of everyday life and existence as expressed in nature and the universe. It attempts to captured all these

variegated instances, moments, events and experiences et cetera, expressing them through the medium of music

with rhythmic and melodic symbolism.
